Finding My Way: The Story Behind My Photography Rebrand

2025 is the year of growth, change, and courage.

This rebrand isn’t just about a new logo or a refreshed website—it’s about honoring the journey that got me here. A journey that started long before I ever picked up a camera.

Before I was capturing love stories across Oregon and Washington, before weekends were filled with beautiful weddings and golden-hour engagement sessions, before I fell in love with documenting the in-between moments of life—I was just lost. A stay-at-home mom, trying to keep my head above water.

Rediscovering Creativity

I’ve always been drawn to creativity, but stepping into motherhood shook me in ways I wasn’t prepared for. The exhaustion, the routine, the way my own identity seemed to blur into the background—it drained me. My motivation to create, to see the world with fresh eyes, just wasn’t there. And slowly, my mental health followed.

I knew I wasn’t showing up for my kids the way I wanted to. I felt lost. Until, one day, a friend placed a camera in my hands.

What started as a small creative outlet—something to help me feel like me again—quickly became something more. Photography wasn’t just about learning settings or snapping pretty pictures. It changed the way I saw the world. I noticed the way light danced through the trees, the rich textures in nature, the emotion in a fleeting glance between two people. Colors felt deeper. Moments felt more significant. And just like that, I started to feel alive again.

And at this point, I know the parents out there are nodding along—I see you. That phase of life where you give everything to your kids and somehow lose yourself in the process? It’s real. And for all my kidless friends… well, I’ll leave it at that. 😆

The Path to Now

As my passion grew, so did my business. After my divorce, photography became more than just an escape—it became my future. I poured myself into perfecting my craft, developing a style that felt true to me, upgrading my equipment, and learning how to create an experience that goes beyond just delivering a gallery.

And last year, I took a step back and asked myself:

“What’s next? What’s holding me back from leveling up?”

The answer? My branding and my website.

I wanted a space that felt like home—a place where couples could instantly get a feel for my energy, my approach, and my passion for storytelling. The kind of space where you don’t just browse photos—you feel them. I wanted to create a seamless experience for those planning their wedding or engagement, whether they were celebrating in the heart of the city, tucked away in the mountains, or somewhere along the rugged coastline of the Pacific Northwest.
